Easter Holiday Camps 2015

With the Easter holidays just around the corner, you might be wondering how you’re going to keep the little ones entertained. Well, help is at hand! We’ve done the hard work for you, and pulled together a pretty comprehensive listing of the Easter holiday camps and workshops that are going on in the area. Although we can’t say that we’ve tried all these out personally, they come on recommendation and your kids are sure to have a lot of fun! Activ Camps

For children aged 4 to 14 years.

These camps take place at Barn Elms Sports Trust, Queen Elizabeth Walk, and at Barnes Sports Club, Lonsdale Road in Barnes. Children will enjoy fun-packed multi-activity camps run by fully trained, enthusiastic staff who create a happy and safe environment. Every day is full of fun activities, including dodgeball, motor sports, inflatables, water slides, indoor rock climbing, swimming, crazy crash mats, foam stick hockey, archery… the list goes on.

The camps take place weekdays between 1st – 18th April, from 8.30am-4.30pm (8.30am-1.00pm for 4 year olds), with a free extension until 5.30pm available on request. The cost is £41.00 per day (£27.50 for 4 year olds), with various discounts available. You can book via their website.

Barnes Cricket Club

For children aged 6 to 16 years.

These camps take place at Barnes Cricket Club, Lonsdale Road in Barnes. Children will enjoy five action-packed days of cricket delivered by a brilliant team of club coaches and qualified assistants. Boys and girls of all abilities welcome.

The camps take place between 15th – 19th April, from 10.00am-3.00pm. The cost is £165.00 for the week, or £35.00 per day. You can download a registration form from their website.

Barnes Film Academy

For children aged 8 to 14 years.

This three-day workshop takes place in Barnes. Children will experience an intense filmmaking process  from script to end product. Students are provided with the chosen film idea of the workshop and are then responsible for creating their vision as a team – planning shots, directing and shooting their film. They will learn a range of skills in camerawork, sound, script writing, acting and directing.

Best Tennis

For children aged 3 to 14 years.

These camps take place at Old Deer Park, Twickenham Road in Richmond. They offer fun packed tennis camps with a combination of technical learning, matchplay and games.

The camps take place weekdays between 8th – 18th April, from 11.00am-11.45pm (3-5yrs), 9.00-11.00am (5-8yrs), or 12.00-3.00pm (9-14yrs). The daily cost is £12.00 (3-5yrs), £25.00 (5-8yrs), or £30.00 (6-14yrs),  with discounts available for booking multiple days. You can book via their website.

Camp Beaumont 

For children from 4 to 16 years old.

These camps take place at Christ’s School, Queen’s Road in Richmond. They offer the highest standards of care and peace of mind that children will have the time of their life, trying new activities and making new friends.

The camps take place weekdays between 8th – 18th April, from 8.30am-4.30pm, with a free extension until 5.30pm available on request, or a paid option to extend from 8.00am-6.00pm. The basic daily cost is £45.00, with a discount available for booking three days or more. You can book via their website.

Excel Sports

For children aged 4 to 12 years.

These camps take place at Kings House Sports Ground, Riverside Drive in Chiswick (just the other side of Chiswick Bridge). They offer wonderful, safe, action-packed multi-sports camps, with superb tuition delivered by professional sports coaches who are also great fun! Sports include tennis, football, netball, cricket, rounders, athletics, dodgeball and more. Children can also opt for football-only camps if they prefer.

The camps take place weekdays between 4th – 24th April (excluding Easter bank holiday), from 9.00am-3.00pm with half day options available from 9.00-11.30am or 12.30-3.00pm. The daily cost is £35.00 with a discount available for booking the whole week; half-days cost £18.00. You can book online.

Fit For Sport

For children aged 4 to 12 years.

These camps takes place at Barnes Primary School, Cross Street in Barnes, and at Sheen Mount Primary School in West Temple Sheen. They are a great way for children to keep active, have fun, make new friends, try something new and take part in a whole range of activities and sports.

The camps take place weekdays between 8th – 18th April, from 9.30am-4.30pm with the option to extend from 8.30am-5.30pm (East Sheen) or 8.00am-6.00pm (Barnes), with a half day option for younger children from 9.30am-1.00pm. The basic daily cost is £30.55-£36.25 (£22.90-£27.15 for a half-day), depending on location. You can book via their website.

Kidscoach

For children aged 4 to 13 years.

These camps take place at Marble Hill Park in Twickenham. They are the perfect way for children to get out into the fresh air for some football fun, and will take place whatever the weather (dress the kids accordingly!). The sessions are split according to age, with lots of match time and skill-based games and drills.

The camps take place weekdays between 8th – 18th April, from 10.00am-1.00pm. The daily cost is £15.00, with a discount available for booking a whole week. You can book by emailing sports@kidscoach.uk.net.

KOOSA Kids

For children aged 4 to 13 years.

These camps take place at Orleans Park School, Richmond Road in Twickenham; Teddington Sports Centre, Broom Road in Teddington; St Mary’s Primary School, Oldfield Road in Hampton; Whitton Sports Centre, Percy Road in Whitton; and Shene Sports Centre, Park Avenue in East Sheen. Over the Easter holidays, there will be a ‘Step Back in Time’ and ‘Easter Eggstravaganza’ theme, with 9 days packed full active and non-active games, activities and fun.

The camps take place weekdays between 8th – 18th April, from 10.00am-4.00pm, with the option to extend from 8.15am-6.00pm. The basic daily cost is £21.50. If you have three children, the 3rd child goes absolutely free! You can book via their website or by calling 0845 094 2322.

The Little Gym Chiswick

For children aged 3 to 12 years.

These camps take place at The Little Gym, Hartington Road in Chiswick (just off the A316). Fun-filled Easter Carnival themed camps – with special themed activities that change every camp, the adventure is new and fun every camp the children attend.  There are ‘Super Quest’ camps for children aged 3-8yrs and ‘Skill Thrill’ camps for children aged 5-12yrs.

The Little Gym Hampton & Teddington

For children aged 3 to 12 years.

These camps take place at The Little Gym, High Street in Hampton Hill. The camps combine fun, sport, creative activities and learning to keep your kids active, entertained and laughing. All while carefully developing their minds, bodies and self-confidence. There are ‘Super Quest’ camps for children aged 3-8yrs and ‘Skill Thrill’ camps for children aged 5-12yrs.

Little Voices

For children aged 4 to 13 years.

This ‘Mary Poppins’ theatre week takes place at Christ’s School, Queen’s Road in Richmond. Children will be transported through four days of script learning, singing, dancing, making new friendships and building confidence working towards a final performance!

The ‘Mary Poppins’ theatre week takes place between 8th – 11th April. The cost is £180.00 for all four days. You can book via their website or by phoning 07823 384992. You can also get up to £60 off with Twick Mums!

Mother Nature Science

For children aged 5 to 12 years old.

These camps take place at The Queens School, Cumberland Road in Kew, and at King’s House School, King’s Road in Richmond. Children will enjoy indoor and outdoor activities; four classroom-based fun, hands-on, science sessions per day, with wow-factor demonstrations and take-home experiments; and three ‘playground-activity-breaks’ per day.

The camps take place between 8th – 11th and 15th – 18th April, from 9.00am-3.30pm, with the option to extend from 8.30am-4.00pm. Playball

For children aged 3 to 9 years.

These camps take place at Pools On The Park, Twickenham Road in Richmond, and at Stanley Primary School, Strathmore Road in Teddington. They are filled with fantastic sports games, skills and drills, including wildly creative warm ups, sport skill sessions, team building activities and games.

The camps take place on the 8th, 9th, 10th & 17th April, from 10.00am-1.00pm. The daily cost is £25.00. You can book online.

Rocks Lane

For children from 3 to 16 years.

These camps take place at Rocks Lane Multi-Sport Centre in Barnes. There are a range of football, tennis,  netball, and mini multi-sports camps on offer for all abilities.

The camps take place weekdays between 1st – 18th April at various times ranging from 2-5 hours long. The daily cost is £20.00-£35.00 depending on the camp, with a discount available for booking a whole week. For more information see their website, or to book call 020 8876 8330.

Rosslyn Park Rugby Club

For children aged 5 to 18 years.

These three-day camps take place at Rosslyn Park Rugby Club, Priory lane in Roehampton. are aimed at players of all abilities, with sessions tailored to age groups. Sessions cover both technical skills, team work and fitness. There is also a high performance camp for players with aspirations to play rugby at a higher level.

The three-day camps take place between 15th – 17th April, from 9.30am-3.00pm. The cost is £135.00 for all three days, or £150.00 for the high performance camp. You can register online.

Sheen Tennis Academy

For children aged 6 to 18 years.

These camps take place at Sheen Lawn Tennis & Squash Club, Parkside Close (off Fife Road) in East Sheen. The camps provide an opportunity for players of all abilities to work on all aspect of tennis from serve to forehands and backhands. The camps will be split up each day to focus on one aspect of tennis, to ensure that players are learning a wide variety of skills and are doing something new every day.

The camps take place weekdays between 1st – 18th April, from 9.00am-2.00pm with the option of doing a half day from 9.00am-12.00pm. The cost is £50.00 per day or £30.00 for a half-day. You can book online.

Sheen Parks Tennis

For children aged 2 to 16 years.

These camps take place at Sheen Common and Palewell Common in East Sheen, and at Cambridge Gardens, Clevedon Road in East Twickenham. These fun packed holiday camps are for children of all abilities to help develop essential tennis skills.

The camps take place weekdays between 8th – 18th April, with different timings depending on age. Tots camps (2-4yrs) are 30 minutes long, whereas camps for older children are 3 hours. Tots camps cost £9.25 per day and the longer camps cost £33.00, with a discount available for booking the whole week. You can book online.

Spin Into Tennis

For children from 3 to 18 years.

These camps take place at Kings House Sports Ground, Riverside Drive in Chiswick (just the other side of Chiswick Bridge). Children will be able to develop their tennis skills, whether they play for fun, fitness or want to compete at a higher level.

The camps take place weekdays between 4th – 18th April, from 9.00am-12.00pm or from 9.00am-2.00pm. The cost is £30.00 per half-day or £45.00 per day, with a discount available for booking a whole week. You can book online.

Thames Young Mariners Adventure Zone

For children from 6 to 16 years.

These camps take place at Thames Young Mariners, Riverside Drive in Ham. There are Young Explorers camps for 6/7yrs (1 day) focussing on different team challenges through the week, and Multi-Activity Adventures for 8-11yrs and 11-13yrs (2 or 3 days), with activities such as archery, climbing, team tasks and woodland skills. There are also Little Foxes camps for 6/7yrs, where children will explore the woods and let their imagination run wild; and Sailing courses for 8-16yrs (4 or 5 days).

The camps take place weekdays between 8th – 18th April, from 9.30am-4.30pm. The cost is £47.00 per day for most camps, or £57.75 per day for sailing courses. You can book online.

Top Tennis

For children aged 3 to 14 years.

These camps take place at Barnes Tennis Club, Lonsdale Road in Barnes. We aim to teach all aspects of the game throughout a week at camp, but also offer a day rate option to suit your busy holiday timetables. Skills, drills, technique, match-play and games, they ensure an all-round tennis education.

The camps take place weekdays between 8th – 19th April, with different time slots for different age groups: 3-7yrs 9.00-11.00pm; 8-10yrs 11.00am-1.00pm; 10-14yrs 1.00-3.00pm. The cost is £20.00 per day, with a discount available for booking the whole week. You can book online.

Tree House Learning

For children aged 3 to 7+ years.

These camps take place at Ham Common Woods. Workshops are planned based on the age and experience of the children enrolled. Activities range from eco art to bushcraft skills to group games – something for everyone!

The camps take place weekdays between 8th – 18th April, from 10.00am-3.00pm. The daily cost is £35.00.  You can book online.

Wild Education

For children aged 5 to 11 years.

This three-day camp takes place in the grounds of Orleans House Gallery, Riverside in Twickenham. Children will have a ‘wild’ time having fun, making new friends, learning life skills and being out in the fresh air getting muddy!

The camp takes place between 8th – 10th April, from 10.00am-2.00pm. The cost is £90.00 for all three days. You can book via their website.

YMCA Hawker Wild Play Days

For children aged 4 to 11 years.

These wild play days take place at YMCA Hawker, Lower Ham Road (junction with Richmond Road) in Kingston. Children will enjoy exploring woods, building shelters, discovering nature, creating woodland art and breathing Mother Nature’s good stuff!

The wild play days take place between 8th – 11th and 15th – 18th April, from 8.30am-4.30pm with the option to extend to 6.00pm. The basic daily cost is £30.00, or £40.00 on trip day (Wednesdays). You can book online.

York House Gardens Tennis

For children aged 3 to 12 years.

These camps take place at York House Gardens, Sion Road in Twickenham. Children will take part in various games and training to improve their agility, balance and coordination. Older age groups begin to focus more on shots, technique and tactics using game play and competition (suitable for all abilities).

The camps take place on weekdays between 8th – 18th April, with different time slots for different age groups: 3-4yrs 9.30-10.00am; 5-8yrs 10.00am-12.00pm; 9-12yrs 1.00-3.00pm. The cost is £40.00-50.00 per week (3-4yrs) or £88.00-£110.00 per week (5-12yrs), depending on the length of the week. You can book online.
