Little Gym Chiswick LogoThe Little Gym is the world’s premier learning and physical development centre for babies, toddlers and children up to the age of 12 years old. The Little Gym of Chiswick is one of their leading sites, and is easily accessed from the A316 by Chiswick Bridge. As well as the central developmental gymnastics programme, it runs ‘Free-Run’ tumbling classes, as well as holiday camps, birthday parties, and members-only extras such as ‘Tumble & Tea’ for pre-schoolers under three years old and ‘Practice Time’ during school holidays for members aged 3-12 years old. Above all else though, The Little Gym is about serious fun, and building confidence. They pride themselves on being a safe place where every child can truly be themsleves.

Gymnastics Programme: The core offering of The Little Gym is its gymnastics programme for babies, toddlers and children aged 4 months – 12 years old, which is second to none. Each week, progressively structured classes and a fantastic learning environment enable children to try out new things and build their self-confidence.

Little Gym ChiswickFor children under three years old,  parents accompany their child into the gym. As well as physical skills, these classes cleverly weave in age-appropriate challenges to ensure that babies and toddlers reach their developmental milestones, through additional sensory activities, evolving into school readiness challenges and life lessons like sharing, taking turns and working in a team. As much as these classes are serious fun for kids, they open up a new world of wonder for adults alike. Highly trained instructors share child development knowledge and tit-bits throughout every class making it a fun learning experience for all. Children aged 3-12 years old go into the classes on their own, so parents can enjoy a well-earned coffee whilst watching through the glass fronted gym!

For children aged 3-5 years old, the curriculum is designed to add imagination, fun and laughter through different monthly focussed themes, whilst learning real gymnastics skills every week. For older kids aged 6-12 years old, the classes evolve into a more progressive non-competitive gymnastics class. This, combined with a small teacher-child ratio, nurturing and positive teaching style, and exciting state-of-the-art equipment, allows for a much more varied and higher level of ‘real’ gymnastics skills being taught every week.

Holiday Camps: During the holidays, The Little Gym holds Ofsted-approved half-day and full-day holiday camps for children aged 3-12 years old, with flexible booking options to suit every family’s schedule. These camps are deigned to seamlessly blend gymnastics, games, fun, and learning, aligning perfectly with their 3-dimensional learning philosophy. In these action-packed sessions, children not only try fun, themed gymnastics activities, but elements from the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) curriculum are also included.
