As well as applying the perfect make-up for a special event, she can also offer advice on how to streamline your make-up bag, which products to use and how they work, and provide personal lessons tailored to your needs. Her favourite brands include Dr Hauschka, Bobbi Brown, Laura Mercier, Daniel Sandler, Nars, Bare Minerals, Yves St. Laurent and more.

Oonagh McGrath Make-UpOonagh’s interest in make-up began when she was given a copy of ‘Design Your Face’ as a teenager, by the US make-up artist Way Bandy. The step-by-step illustrations gave her an insight into professional make-up application, and she started experimenting with eyeshadow palettes and make-up given to her by her stepmother, who was an Art Director on film sets and therefore had lots of free samples! Oonagh has always had a keen interest in how colours compliment each other and the opportunity to be creative – she loves seeing the power that make-up can deliver.

Oonagh McGrath Make-UpProfessionally, Oonagh completed the Intensive IMA Foundation make-up course in bridal and special occasion make-up at The London School of Beauty. She then started as an assistant until she had established her own client base, and then branched out on her own. She regularly attends workshops at GURU Kensington and the annual IMATS professional make-up trade show at Olympia, as well as Olympia Beauty. The lectures and demonstrations by top make-up artists continue to give her the inspiration to create individual styles and new ways to use products.

If you are having professional photographs taken or are attending a big event such as a wedding, christening or anniversary, then just give her a call on 07748 771035 or email via the contact form on her website. She would love to hear from you to discuss how she’d be able to help.
